Good government is one that works for you by working together. It is my goal to continue to work together with all residents and all levels of government to improve the services and infrastructure that better your everyday life."
As a Dutchess County Legislator, Hannah has diligently advocated for beneficial community services and giving constituents a voice. She has successfully improved senior services, public safety measures, infrastructure repair and approving County grants in order to responsibly keep property taxes under control. For the past thirteen years, Hannah has worked at the New York State, Unified Court System, Statewide Children's Centers Program. She works to ensure accurate fiscal payments to 28 children's centers throughout New York State along with providing programmatic support. Working with the children and caregivers that use this program has given her a unique perspective on what Dutchess County needs. It has furnished her with invaluable experience in balancing the needs of government with the needs of the families it serves.
From 2008-2010 Hannah served as a member of the Hyde Park Town Board where she worked tirelessly to improve the finances and quality of life of the residents in her town. During that term, she voted to cut the salary of everyone on the Town Board, including herself, in order to keep taxes under control and protect the residents of Hyde Park. She worked with the Town Engineer, Town Attorney, and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation to resolve flooding, drainage, and noise concerns for constituents.
Hannah grew up in Dutchess County, Hyde Park, and has chosen to raise her daughter here. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Binghamton, an Associate's degree from Dutchess Community College and is a graduate of FDR High School.
